PAISLEY & STRIPES ARE SEOUL MATES
At #SEOULFASHIONWEEK I'm still mixing up my patterns. This time its with paisley, stripes and everything nice...
It's no secret that I love mixing up prints. I took another childhood inspiration and translated it into fashion. My Mother taught me the magic of decor. Besides ballet classes, I grew up studying all things HGTV. The first time I saw and fell in love with a pinstripe-paisley mix is when she decorated my childhood room in this theme. My throw pillows and bedding were so bomb!! I recreated my childhood inspo into an outfit and this time in blue. I borrowed my brother's pinstripe RL button-down and wore it as a dress and of course paired it with coveted vintage pieces, and a fresh pair of kicks!
“I've always believed that fashion, architecture, and interior decor are closely linked. They tell visual stories and use similarities in style, construction, and function. You can pull visual inspiration from all three to use with patterns, structure, color pallets, and accessory (finishes) pairing.”
The blue #pinstriped #RalphLauren button-down was layered under a #vintage, sequin paisley jacket I sourced at my local #Goodwill. I believe that the Goodwill God only leaves the best sequin items there for me and me only! I love to wear the latest sneakers (aka kicks) for comfort and style when I'm pumping to each show. Since the jacket has a hint of black, I curated a pair of B&W #Vans #Sk8Hi to finish the look. I also sachayed into the PUSHBUTTON show with all of this cuteness. There was a playfulness about the show that I loved and why their on of my favorite Korean labels.
